Occupational Therapy
The Occupational Therapy (OT) service covers the Northern region of the Macedon Ranges Shire, including; Lancefield, Romsey, Riddells Creek, Clarkfield, Woodend, Kyneton, Malmsbury, Tylden, and surrounding areas.
 
The ‘OT’ aims to assist persons of any age group to maintain their independence and safety, overcoming issues which restrict normal daily life, such as personal hygiene, home duties, work, leisure or community pursuits.
 
SERVICES OFFERED
  • Individual assessment of functional abilities and need, usually at home or on site.
  • Assessments of safety issues for the individual, their family and carers.
  • Advice, information, and recommendations to assist the individual to achieve their goals.
  • Referral and recourses to achieve goals
  • Assistance to obtain appropriate equipments or aids to maximise personal independence and safety.
 
PAEDIATRIC OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
Most children are seen through our multidisciplinary Children’s Assessment Clinic, which is held once a week during school terms.
 
HOW TO ACCESS THIS SERVICE
Anyone can make a referral by telephone ph 03 5421 1666 or fax 03 5422 2161.
Written and electronic referrals can also come from local doctors, community nurses, or other agencies. .
 
 
A duty worker from the Service Access team can be contacted by calling 03 5421 1666 during business hours or by dropping in to our Kyneton office at 47 High Street, Kyneton.  
 
If the Service Access team is not available at the time of your contact, leave a message and you will be contacted as soon as possible.
 
All referrals are placed on our waiting list and an Occupational Therapist will contact you as soon as possible.
 
 
FEES
The cost for Occupational Therapy is dependent on income level.
